I have long experience with this. My cousins call me Ross, sometimes with the modifier of "Better King", most people younger than me that I see frequently genuinely call me Master, and I am also very occasionally known as "Master Veggie". I am also frequently known as Sandwich, Potato, Popcorn, or Muffin, and you came up with Smeagol the Second.

That is quite the list. I would not be pleased if anyone called me by any of my normal nicknames in public. They are rather embarrassing.
